The Occasional Drop was created by Rowan Thompson in 2011.
Rowan began working in the wine industry in 2002 when she became manager of the St Albans branch of Oddbins. During 5 happy years there, she took her WSET Intermediate & Advanced exams and continued her love affair with wine and passion for sharing it with her customers.
In 2007 Rowan moved into the restaurant industry and further enhanced her food and wine matching skills along with some culinary expertise!
In the small amount of time TOD has been running, we have worked on tastings for Louis Roederer, Ruinart, Domaine Dupont Calvados, The English Vodka Company and Glenmorangie.
In addition to this, we have run numerous wedding receptions and private functions which is basically our passion. Bringing a bespoke service to every customer no matter what the size.
